March Newsletter

Our guest speakers for Marches meeting were Pam Batey and Sue Molyneux from Halton Disability Partnership. Pam talked to us about Workplace Pension schemes for Personal Assistants and Sue spoke about PIP – Personal Independence Payments which are taking affect.  I had feedback from Pam Batey who thought our group had a good turnout and it was lovely that you all interacted and asked lots of questions. There is too much information to go into in the newsletter, but I have information sheets which I will hand out to members who require copies.  If you need information in the meantime, please give me a call and I will sign post you to either Sue or Pam. I would like to say a BIG thank you to you all for your thank you card and gift, it was a lovely thought, but don’t forget you have to thank yourselves as if it wasn’t for all your support over the years, there would be no HALDS.

Funding – Funds are low at the moment, therefore I am applying for funding from Awards for All, Peel Ports, HBC Area Forum, Shaw Trust, The ACT foundation, Barchester Healthcare Foundation and HBC carer funding  for 2016/17.  Some of  the funding  will be for activity events these are to include Tai Chi session, Keep fit, Games event i.e. Boccha, Dominos, Darts etc. and Flower arranging.
