Our guest speaker for Octobers meetings was Shelagh Thornhill from Community Bridge Building Team who came along to tell us what services they have to offer your cared fors. They can provide Voluntary work, Arts & Culture, Education, Faith & Religion, Travel Training, Leisure Activities and pathway to employment.
To access Community Bridge Building services you have to be referred through any social care team or a professional person, this can include Halton Carers Centre. Except their social group for 18-30 year olds you can go directly into the group straight away without any referrals.
If you would like more information about the Bridge Building Services contact the team on 0151 511 8772. I also have a few leaflets about their services.
I also have some leaflets about ‘care in the chemist’ for those who never got them last month
