March 2022 Newsletter

Our meeting on Monday 28th March was our long awaited AGM, Chairperson & Secretary remained the same as previous years, Bill Tottle as Chair and myself as secretary and Pat Wright was elected our new Treasurer.

Accounts were also shown for the past 3 years

Carol & Anna volunteered to continue organising our refreshments at the meeting, but it was decided to no longer have lunches, as number have dwindled at the meetings since starting back in January and a lot of food has been wasted.  For this months meeting we had hot pot from Quigleys which we all enjoyed.  In place of lunch, there will be biscuits and snacky bits, it was agreed for members to donate money in a dish for their refreshments.

Brenda Hayes volunteered to organise our raffle at the meetings and Maria volunteered to take money for social events and issue receipts.

I also asked for members to volunteer to go onto a steering committee to organise speakers for meetings and future social events, sadly only 2 members put their names down, thank you Maria & Lynne

It was also agreed that due to high postage costs, members who do not attend our meetings and have their newsletter posted to them will no longer receive our newsletter, this will not affect members who do NOT attend but receive our newsletters on line.
